Khimaja Connell visits the Munich School of Philosophy

Khimaja Connell is a philosopher at the University of the West Indies, Jamaica, who conducted research in Salzburg via the Erasmus+ program. On the 19th and 20th of June she visited the Munich School of Philosophy.

Khimaja Connell met many researchers from Munich, took part in the lecture and workshop with Sally Haslanger and inspired many of us with her sharp thinking and kind attitude.

Connell's philosophizing on Caribbean Philosophy and especially on Creolisation is thought provoking. She is currently working on the following paper "Defying Canons: Amy Jacques Garvey and Edna Manley as Caribbean Women Philosophers" which will be published in the series, "Histories of Philosophies in Global Perspectives, Series III, 2. We are looking forward to future cooperations and exchange with her.

Our colleagues Clara and Jaana conducted an interview with her for Kontrapunkte. We are excited to share this with you soon.
