This first International Conference on Therapeutic Philosophy in Global Perspectives, organized in cooperation with the Department of Philosophy of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), the Department of Clinical Psychology of the Manipal College of Health Professions, the Institut für Philosophie of the University of Hildesheim, and the Munich School of Philosophy is meant to mark the inauguration of the Manipal Centre for Therapeutic Philosophy (MCTP) and to become a biennial event for international scholars and practitioners of philosophy to meet, reflect on, and practice their discipline in a combined heuristic, theoretical, and hands-on manner. We are seeking to foster a collegial and stimulating atmosphere conducive to a rich exchange of ideas and practices able to challenge and deepen our understanding of philosophical practice in therapeutic context.
