Our Mission
The mission of the Ignatian Scholars Corps (ISC) is the shared pursuit of truth for the greater glory of God and for the service of humanity. The ISC seeks to connect eminent scholars with institutions or associations of higher education around the world for the purpose of providing lectures in the Judaeo-Christian intellectual heritage to augment the regular curriculum in such institutions. The lectures are given by Zoom and are open to anyone at the institution or association in question to attend. They carry no academic credit, and they are free of charge. The lecturers receive no recompense for their labor. The ISC is dedicated to contributing to the leadership of others in the continuing quest for the understanding of God's creation and for the discovery, dissemination, and integration of the values, knowledge and skills required to transform society in the spirit of the gospel. Although the individual members of the ISC and the lecturers invited to participate come from their own various commitments, the ISC is an organization motivated by the intellectual heritage of the Judaeo-Christian tradition and guided by the spiritual and intellectual ideals of the Society of Jesus in seeking the greater glory of God through their service to higher education.
